Played another game of Labyrinth as the Jihadists with my buddy Keith, playing the Americans, over two sessions on VASSAL. While some fortuitous cards really lowered his Prestige for a bit I couldn’t put him away early on.
In the second session, I just about had Central Asia pulled over to the Islamist State category but he countered with a Deploy. I started to shift my focus to Iraq which unlike Central Asia wasn’t an Ally and therefore not susceptible to Deploy. I continued to ping away at Central Asia too.
Eventually Central Asia fell which was under Besieged Regime. Some lucky rolls quickly put my in Iraq with five unchallenged cells. One Major Jihad later I picked up the win.
It was an excellent game as usual. A few things struck me . . .
- I’ve had very few games that involve the US territory or WMDs
- My games tend to be short. I can’t imagine how a game can go on for 2-3 decks. Must be fore some really experienced players.
